He accused of inflicting actual bodily harm on a woman at a Salford home last November and regularly assaulting a woman in her 20s.
Giggs, of Worsley, will also charge between 2017 and 2020 with want or behavioral control.
He has released on bail and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on April 28.
Greater Manchester Police said officers received a report of a disturbance at an address in Worsley at 22:05 GMT on November 1.
A woman in her 30s was treat at the scene for minor injuries, according to police.
Giggs is also charge with misconduct or controlling conduct between December 2017 and November 2020.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has confirmed that assistant coach Robert Page will be in charge of Wales at this summer’s European Championships.
FAW said it would hold a board meeting to “discuss development and its impact on the association and the national team.”
Giggs, who won 64 matches with Wales between 1991 and 2007, named national coach in January 2018, leading the team to the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
