Business travel is a journey or a tour specifically taken for work purposes and office meetings. It does not include daily commutes, leisure trips or holidays.
According to the WTO, around 30% of international trips these days are for business purposes and business travel shows no sign of slowing down in the present stage. Even in this world of instant communication and social media, business travel is as necessary and advantageous as ever to deal with companies and clients on large scale.
Main reasons for Business Travel
- Networking: Shaking hands and talking face-to-face is the best way to get to know someone, instead of making Skype calls or reading dozens of emails or text messages. You may also want to show off your leadership skills in person.

The British capital is the commercial and financial center of the world, home to many multinational corporations and the most visited city by business travelers in 2011.
